Grotto, Payson Canyon | Deric & Hayley | Engagements

Cute Deric and Hayley, so in love! They are so easy going and so nice! I love their love story. (I hope I get this right...) They met at a student ward in Virginia. Hayley was looking for someone to take her head shots. Someone told her that Deric does photography. They were introduced, forgot all about taking head shots and went on their first date. They hit it off! They dated a while, even long distance. But now they are both in Utah, going to school, and planning a wedding. I'm very happy for them! Can't wait for November 24th you guys!

Peaks Ice Arena / Alpine Loop | Ben & Sara | Engagements

I love when my clients come up with location ideas that show the things they love to do together. Since Ben is a hockey player and they like to ice skate together, Sara thought it would be fun to go to an ice skating rink. I was a little nervous at first, taking my camera out there and what not, but once I took a lap around, I was good! I want to do more shoots on the ice now! It also really showcased their personalities. They warmed up to me and the camera a lot more and were laughing and having lots of fun. It was so fun!

Before we went to the rink, we went up to Alpine Loop to take a few nature engagement pictures. It was an eventful session. It was the day of the big fire at Deer Creek Reservoir, so we saw the plane drop the red sand stuff on the fire. Then after the session we drove back down and came too close to hitting 2 deer that had darted out in front of my car. Eek! Oh and my strap on my camera bag broke too :( But we got some great shots and I had a great time getting to know these two better. They are so easy going and fun to be around. I can't wait to see them again on their big day!

Lone Rock | Desert Flower Styled Shoot

I was a little skeptical at first with this location and the distance from my house, but can I tell you what, Lone Rock is BEAUTIFUL and I want to go back. Except next time I will bring loads of bug spray, because the mosquitoes out there were hungry. Sheesh! 

Anyways, the wonderful and talented Mallory DeMotte organized this Desert Flower Styled Shoot. She did amazing! Everyone did!

The models, Shelby and Lon were naturals. They had only met that day. The flowers, table, invitations, cake, dress and suit were all so gorgeous too! I had a great time and think I got some great shots. I want to go back!
