Wedding

Provo City Center Temple | Bekah & Eric Formals

I was nervous for this shoot because of the weather! But Bekah and Eric were awesome and still wanted to go up Provo canyon! It was snowing all day long, but the roads were clear all the way up past Sundance until the parking lot. The snow was super deep, but luckily some snowshoers and snowmobilers packed it down so we wouldn't sink down.

I got to talk to Eric for a few minutes while we waited for Bekah to arrive. I loved hearing their dating story. They had met in a Singles Ward but both were waiting for missionaries to get home, so they didn't date. They teased each other that one would get married before the other because their missionaries got home a day apart. They also teased each other that if things didn't work out with the missionaries, they should get married. Well the missionaries got home and things didn't work out with them, so Eric and Bekah started dating! Now here they are about to get married!

The formals session was awesome. There was a group of girls getting their pictures done at the same spot, so Eric and Bekah had a little audience when they did their first look. It was so funny to hear the girls squealing and saying awwwww. It was pretty dang cute. Eric was so excited to see her! Bekah's dress was pretty dang beautiful! I kept them in the same spot and just switched up poses so they didn't have a chance of sinking in the snow. Oh but I did. Every other step I was up to my thighs. What a workout! After awhile, it started to lightly snow for a bit. It was magical!

After the canyon, we did a few shots at the Provo City temple until the sun set. It was so pretty!

I'm excited for their wedding Saturday!

Payson, Utah Temple | Marta & Jacob Wedding

Marta and Jacob are the greatest! The cold weather did not affect them at all on their wedding day. In fact, Marta loved taking pictures in the snow. They were so cute and excited to be married!

The weather was crazy during their reception, but they still had a ton of family and friends that came to celebrate with them! The Manor at the Riverwoods was beautiful and they did a great job decorating it. We took a few more family pictures, then Marta and Jacob visited with their guests for awhile. I went around and took pics of the details, the food and the guests. Everyone was so nice and posed for the pictures.

After a little bit, it was time for the cake cutting! Marta got Jacob good! It was great. Then it was time for Jacob to dance with his mama. She is so cute and so photogenic. They had a lot of sweet moments! Then Marta danced with her dad. Everyone was cheering for them and they had the biggest smiles on their faces. Her dad gave her to Jacob for their first husband and wife dance! They did a couple of dances! They did a little merengue for everyone. They did so good!

Next all the dancing broke out! These guys know how to party! It was a blast to watch everyone. They had great energy! I wanted to get out and dance! After a little bit of dancing, Marta threw her bouquet. Her cute little cousin caught it and was thrilled. They all got ready for the sparkler send off and everyone said goodbye as they ran off!

It was a fun, fun wedding! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Johnson!

Payson, UT Temple | Megan & Garrett Wedding

Megan and Garrett got sealed at the Payson Temple on January 3rd. The day was a cold one, but it sure was beautiful with a blanket of snow on the ground. Even the sky was clear! The inversion wasn't too bad (the inversion makes for nice lighting!). Megan and Garrett came out of those doors with some big smiles! They got some quick hugs from family and then were ready for pictures. The cold makes everyone move a little bit faster haha.  Everyone was so great and we went through all the picture real quick! It was fun for me to see Megan and her family again. They used to live in my neighborhood and I grew up with their oldest daughter, Kelsey. I have fun memories of them. They're great people! They all were excited for Megan and happy to have a new son in law in the family.

Congratulations Garrett and Megan!
