Wedding Venues

Ivy House, Salt Lake City Utah | Emma and Luke Wedding

I got the privilege to photograph Emma and Luke’s wedding day in May. It was such a beautiful Spring day at the Draper Temple.

I didn’t get to meet them before, but man, they are some of the kindest people ever. I got to know more about them during their luncheon when their family spoke about them. All I can say is, GOALS. These two are a power couple and have done and will do amazing things.

Their reception was at the Ivy House in Salt Lake City. Their families and the florist, Andrew, did an amazing job decorating it. We did a few pictures outside before the reception started. Their wedding party was so much fun!

Emma chose light pink and blue as her wedding colors which was perfect for Spring.

The reception went without a hitch. So many people came to support them that the venue was packed so maybe that was the hitch. It was hard to get anywhere! Emma and Luke cut the cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Then they danced!

It was a beautiful wedding, beautiful people!

Congrats Emma and Luke!

The Amavi Event Center | Harlee & Jason Wedding

Harlee and Jason tied the knot at the Amavi Event Center in Spanish Fork.

The ceremony was so beautiful. Their bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down together and then her little cousin was the ring bearer. He wore a pin that said, Ring Security. So cute. Then Harlee’s dad walked her down the aisle. Jason’s sister in law married them. They said their vows to each other and exchanged rings. Their vows were so sweet. They are married!

After we did pictures with everybody. I started with the big groups and narrowed it down to the smaller groups. I loved the dark green dresses that the bridesmaids chose. They are friends and cousins of the bride. Harlee has 3 cousins that were all born in the same year so they are really close. The girls in the lavender dresses were the honorary bridesmaids. I love the colors Harlee chose!

After all the family and wedding party pictures were finished, we had a few minutes for Harlee and Jason. We did their formal pictures in the snow a few weeks before so we got plenty. See that post here. But I had to get pictures of them in front of the beautiful fireplace. It is such a beautiful venue!

I left for the lunch and came back for the reception. While they talked with their guests, I took pictures of all the details. The family and the Amavi did a great job decorating the tables. Next, Harlee and Jason cut their cake. Then they had the father daughter and mother son dance. Then is was their turn for the first dance! Then the party started! They had such a fun and long dance party!

After they had a sparkler exit. Everything went so well and I’m so happy for them! Congrats Harlee and Jason!

Saratoga Springs Temple & The Blake, Provo Utah | Abby & Russell Wedding

We did Abby and Russell’s first look and formal pictures at the Utah State Capitol. Abby got her dress from Affordable Bridal Boutique In Provo, Utah. It is gorgeous! And I love that she wore Chacos under her dress. They are so comfy and so Abby. Even the colors matched her bouquet and groom’s tie. Russell’s aunt made her bouquet- it was so gorgeous! It was such a fun session at the Capitol!

On March 9, Abby and Russell got married in the Saratoga Springs Temple. It was a beautiful blue sky day even though it was a little chilly outside. That is what you expect for a winter wedding! We were glad it wasn’t snowing. We did their family pictures and wedding party pictures right outside the temple. The bridesmaids were fun and we did the picture where you frame the bride’s face with their bouquets. Well the groomsmen thought it would be funny to do the same thing with their boutonnieres and frame the groom’s face. It was funny and now I like doing that same pose with other weddings. I did more pictures of the bride and groom around the temple and then we headed for the reception!

The reception was at The Blake in Provo Utah. It is a new modern event center. It was very cute. I loved the different backgrounds in the venue. I got there early and took some pictures of Abby in the bride’s room. Then took pictures of the dessert table. The set up was amazing! They bought everything from Kneaders. Their wedding cake was made by her friend Ellie from Ellie Bakes Cakes. She did such a great job! Most of the reception was the bride and groom visiting with their friends and family. Russell’s little nieces and nephews had fun taking polaroid pictures of each of the guests. They also found a giant cardboard head of Russell and had fun playing and dancing with it. It was pretty funny. After dancing, they did a sparkler send off. The send off spot was so pretty at the Blake! They had flowers hanging from a pergola so we had to be careful with the sparklers. The pictures turned out great. The whole wedding went so well. I’m so happy for Abby and Russell!
